Playground Safety
At Kidstuff Playsystems, we are commited to providing safe playground equipment. As evidence of this, our equipment is now certified by the International Playground Equipment Manufacturer's Association (IPEMA). In order to obtain certification, our products were tested part by part to comply with the rigorous safety standards published in ASTM F1487.
Required notice:
In the interest of public playground safety, IPEMA provides a 3rd Party Certification service whereby Detroit Testing Laboratory, Inc. validates a manufacturer's conformance to the ASTM F1487-01 (excluding section 10 and 12.6.1) Standard Consumer Safety Performance Specification for Playground Equipment for Public Use.
The use of the IPEMA Certification Seal signifies that Kidstuff Playsystems, Inc. has received written validation from the independent laboratory that the product(s) associated with the use of the seal conform with the requirements of ASTM F1487-01 (excluding sections 10 and 12.6.1).

Accessibility Information
In October, 2000 the Access Board issued a final rule on accessibility guidelines for play areas. These guidelines will form the basis for standards under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Some of the most important provisions relating to playgrounds follow:
Structures with 1-19 elevated play components shall have at least 50% of these components on an accessible route. In this case, an accessible route consists of a "transfer point" 11" - 18" above ground where a child can transfer from a wheelchair onto the structure and then decks or steps at intervals of 8" or less up to higher decks where slides, panels, and climbers are used.
Structures with 20 or more play components shall have 25% accessible by a ramp designed for wheelchairs and an additional 25% reached by transfer steps and stepped decks where thie rise of the steps does not exceed 8".
Each playground shall have ground level play components of different types. These events are entered and exited at ground level. Different types could include the experiences of rocking, swinging, climbing, spinning, and sliding. The number of these play components required depends on the size of the structure.
